I bought a Dell Laptop last summer, a Latitude D620, which came pre-installed with Roxio Creator Plus - Dell edition. Recently in the last few days, I have been getting an error message as I close down this application: - 'Mediahub.exe - application error' (2 consecutive error message screens) and - 'Microsoft Visual C Runtime Librairy runtime error, R6025 - pure virtual function call' I have tried uninstalling and then re-installing the application from the CD which came with the laptop, but nothing has changed: I still get the 3 error message screens above.
(I have version Roxio Creator Plus - Dell Edition, Build: 2.4.32a) Roxio RecordNow Audio, Version: 2.0.4, Build: 204B28C, RCP I want to burn at 4x or 8x and the software won't let me but the drive says it should be able to do that. Start Menu 8 is a desktop customized utility for Windows users, specifically designed to bring back the familiar Classic Start Menu to Windows 8/8.1 & Windows 10.
The application still works fine for burning DVD's, but the error messages while closing it down are tiresome. I suspect a possible incompatibility with some of the latest Microsoft updates might be the cause, because I do not recall having installed anything else on my laptop in the last few weeks. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jacques Carrier. I bought a Dell Laptop last summer, a Latitude D620, which came pre-installed with Roxio Creator Plus - Dell edition.

Thank goodness it is not just me!! I use My DVD LE (Sonic) which also came with my Dell Laptop (Inspiron) which I bought in 2005. I have not had any problems with it in all the time I have had it and have even been using it this week. All of a sudden today these messages have been coming up exactly as you described!
I thought I would need to uninstall/reinstall it but it did not come with a disk so wouldn't know how. But it looks like that would not work anyway. I have done a system restore to a few days ago, before I used it last time when it was fine, but this has made absolutely no difference!! Like you say the program runs fine it's just when you close it down and it is really annoying!!
I have been to the Dell wedsite who say that software issues have to be discussed on the phone (call paid for by credit/debit card) but I think I will try sending them an email anyway. But if anyone else has any ideas I would be EXTREMELY grateful! Go to the download section and get the engine update.
I had the same problem.updated the burn engine on my MyDVD6 Deluxe and now the errors are gone. Did a capture / edit / burn with MyDVD6 yesterday and all is good. Good to know - I've been all over the Dell forums (search for MediaHub.exe or C + + errors).it appears that it is a conflict with Roxio/Sonic and Windows Media Player 11 (and, from this thread, it would also appear that it isn't just Roxio (Dell Edition) - I see an HP above.
What may be different is the availability of update to resolve this, depending upon whether one has a box product, or an OEM version. Dell (and/or HP, and who knows how many other sysmfgs and add-on CD/DVD drive companies) did NOT author the bundled Roxio/Sonic product - they licensed a particular version, and included it with their systems, as added value. A core incompatibility like this, needs to be resolved by Roxio/Sonic, and rolled out to their OEM channels.as a single user, one cannot get (or realistically expect) a response from Roxio/Sonic support directly ('go talk to your OEM'), or the OEM tech support ('go talk to Roxio/Sonic') - perhaps the Box Product (retail versions) users are seeing the same issue? (and can help coordinate some type of resolution between the various authors, 3rd party, and OEM sales/accounting agreements, to get a technical solution in place. Or perhaps the thinking is that OEM bundles are just 'teasers' - they only 'sorta' work, to get full functionality, one has to purchase the box/retail product.this would be a good marketing technique for driving your OEM customers to a competitor? Hi, I was getting this same error when closing down Roxio Creater LE-Dell Edition. I have a dimension 9200, and the error happened when I upgraded from windows media player 10 to 11.
I have since done a system restore and reverted back to media player 10. I will be upgrading to Vista, and I understand that Vista has media player 11 installed. Does anyone have any idea if this will work with Vista? I installed the DELL data 204 version then I re installed my sonicdmp v7.2.1 disc that came with my dc7700 HP pc. Before I did this I got the 3 error messages mediahub.exe application error memory could not be written and read then written again. After I then reinstalled my origonal CD roxio DIGITALMedia Plus (CDKIT 385844-B25) And all appears to be fine now this method should allow you to keep wmp11 without all the messing around the DELL patch must replace a system file that is not replaced with the 2006 roxio CD.
